My research connects academia and industry, providing actionable insights by balancing theory and reality. With an interdisciplinary approach, I leverage diverse perspectives to foster innovative insights and comprehensive solutions to societal challenges. I share my findings through various publications, including books, chapters, case studies, conference proceedings, and peer-reviewed journals.
Statement of Research Interests
- Intersecting humanity, industry, and technology, I conduct interdisciplinary research that bridges the gap between academia and industry. I explore how college athletes leverage the NCAA’s name, image, and likeness rule to monetize their personal brands. The influence of NIL collectives and the transfer portal on athletes’ individual marketing strategies also intrigues me. Moreover, I am captivated by other areas within the sports industry, such as data innovation, smart venues, sustainability, and video streaming. My other research interests include artificial intelligence, educational technology, the sharing economy, and social media marketing. When possible, I involve students in my research, fostering collaboration and connecting them with the latest insights in the field. These findings are then incorporated into the curriculum, ensuring its relevance.
